Tony will be greatly missed. He was a kind and unselfish man with a wonderful sense of humor. There were never a time when we did not share a laugh—not just for a brief moment but forever in our memories. He had a way to tell stories, jokes, and anecdotes that left you in stitches.
The love he shared openly with Lu is something that many of us want to cherish ourselves. He was not afraid to share his devotion for the world to see.
Gone he may be but not to a silent land. He waits for all of us with open arms and with that glint in his eyes that warns you that he has many stories to share. The emptiness we are feeling momentarily is being filled by this wonderful friend with our heavenly friends, family members, and God. You can bet that they all are roaring with laughter right now.
We will miss him, his smile and his humor. Most of all we will miss a wonderful friend.

  13. Bill and Karen West says:

    Lu and family,

Our prayers are with you folks in this time of mourning. Tony was a good friend and wonderful human being. I will never forget the day he came to the Bison Range to inquire about a job. Everyone who worked with Tony enjoyed his company. He did his job well. If visitors to the refuge were following the law, he helped them enjoy and love the place. If they were violating the law, Tony took care of the problem.

Tony’s contribution to the community through conservation groups and his personal attention to detail were significant. He always brightened a room when he entered. He will be missed. We are honored to have known him. The angels are now being charmed by his good humor.
