Obituary for William Franklin Rubia

William Franklin Rubia
William Franklin “Bill” Rubia, age 70, passed away at his home after fighting a HEROIC battle with Acute Leukemia on January 27, 2018. Bill was born on March 27, 1947.

Bill retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years. He received many medals while serving. He was in Vietnam for the majority of war time. After retiring from the service he worked as a security guard, mechanic, and also worked for Boeing until he was laid off. He then moved to Polson, MT and went to school for carpentry at SKC. He then worked for the college as a driver.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, soul mate, and best friend, Nyla G. Buck-Rubia, of their home in Polson; the apple of his eye, grandson Dylan Kelly of Polson, and lots of loving family, special friends, and loving care givers throughout his illness. He loved them ALL!

A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Lakeview Cemetery with full Military Honors. A reception will follow at the Elks Lodge.
