Obituary for Marcia Elizabeth Carman

Marcia Elizabeth Carman
Early on Sunday, March 11, 2018, Marcia Elizabeth Carman joined her creator surrounded by family at St. Patrick Hospital ICU Unit. Born Marcia Elizabeth Mathias on July 22, 1957 in St. Ignatius, Mt to Antoine and Vivian (Charlo) Mathias. She had two sisters, Augustine “Girl Toni” Mathias who preceded her in death and Francine Dupuis (Joe) who still resides in Pablo.

Her young years were spent having fun running around Elmo with her sisters. She went to Oklahoma for her high school at Chilocco Indian School where hard work got her finished to graduate early in 1974.

She was the mother of five children, the oldest two born in 1976 and 1977. Her first husband, Raymond Finley preceded her in death and with him had two children. On August 3, 1985 she married Robert Carman and they had three children, Roberta, Antoine and Dorthea all of whom stayed with her at the family home at one time or another.

Any people who were introduced to her or knew her expected to hear the joke of the day from her. She wore her emotions on her sleeve and wasn’t afraid to voice them. She had lots pf fun and friends and spent the last few years in front of the TV and radio. Her game shows and her super classic music were her joys. She was willing to share any and all of what she had with anyone, so long as they asked. She was a second mother to whomever would come to her home and she will be missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Raymond Finley, her parents Antoine and Vivian and sister “Girl Toni” and her nephew “Bono”.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years Robert, son “Moose” Mathias (Amber), daughter Freda Finley (Bert), daughter Roberta, son Antoine Carman (Jolynn) and daughter Dorthea as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The Wake for Marcia begins at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Elmo Hall with a Rosary at 8:00 P.M. with funeral services on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Elmo Hall with burial to follow at Dayton Cemetery.
