Obituary for Edward Fredrick Auld

Edward Fredrick Auld
Edward Fredrick Auld, 73, of Elmo, MT, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at St. Joseph Medical Center. Ed was born on February 25, 1945 in Elmo, MT to Mose Auld and Alice Wakan.

Ed went to Twin Bridges then continued his education at Flandreau, SD. He went on the relocation program where he went to San Francisco and later met his wife there. He worked in Denver for two years as a laborer then relocated to Washington to work in the apple orchards. In 1984, Ed relocated to Salt Lake City working as a janitor until his retirement in 2007 at the age of 62. He moved back to Elmo and spent his days reconnecting with family and friends.

In his youth, he was a very good hunter. He enjoyed the “Coffee Club”, eating and visiting at Senior Dinners. He enjoyed his time at the casino. He watched major league baseball while he made his own commentary about the teams. Everything went better with a smoke! He loved eating out, but enjoyed a home-cooked meal and loved to eat “Mexican Candy” and giving it to the grandkids.

He is survived by Nadine Auld of White Rocks, UT, Darnell Auld, of Elmo, MT, Veranda Auld and Darlana White of White Rocks, UT, uncle Francis (Deanna) Auld of Elmo, MT, Glenna (Jimmy) Askan of Arlee, MT, Linda Auld of Pablo, MT, Curtis Auld of Elmo, MT, grandchildren, Sidney and Corbin, Trinnie and Oren , J. Molly, Rakel , and Julian, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mose Auld and Alice Wakan, a sister, Darlene Wilder, and brothers, Virgil Auld and Carson Auld.

Rosary will begin on Sunday, September 2, 2018, 8:00 PM at Elmo Hall. Funeral Services will follow on Monday, 10:00 AM at Elmo Hall and burial will be in Elmo Cemetery.
