  6. Tim Meeks says:

Eva was always the sweetest, kindest, frendliest person at Linderman School. She always made my visits to her office memorable. She had the best smile in all of Montana. When she retired from the school some of the coaches at the Middle School got together and supplied her with more than a few rolls of quarters. I will miss her but I know I have a good friend in heaven. God Bless you Eva and your enitre family!

  8. Doug Chase says:

To all the Funke Family…Your in my thoughts and prayers over the passing of Eva. Noting in the obituary all she held dear in her heart be they children, grandchildren, great grandchildren plus a multitude of friends she was indeed a special person.
She was a tough tough woman as evidenced by her pain tolerance when she fell. Even with all that going on she was a trooper and cordial to all.
One hates to see the passing of someone we treasure in our lives under any circumstances but her last few months have not what any of you wanted.
Certain people in our lives influence us far beyond theirs. I can tell by the interactions I have had with the Funkes I have come in contact that she was instrumental in molding them for their many suceess’s in life..

    Gods Blessings
    Doug Chase

To the Funke family I wish to convey my sympathy on the passing of one of the few true old time Montana women. In the short time I spent with her it was obvious where Fred got his outgoing disposition. Tom Lee

To all The Funke’s I was so sorry to hear about your mom. We have to remember the good laughs and stories from years gone by and know if they couldn’t still be doing what they loved, then it was time to go.
She left a great legacy in all of you

My heart and prayers go out to you all.
    love ginny

  13. Mary Fulkerson Lee says:

She is remembered with much joy, the emotion that she always made me feel when I would see her,,,,,,the Lord loved her and I am sure she has a mansion prepared for her, waiting to party with her many Polson friends for eternity…..

  14. David Weld says:

Eva was the secretary of Linderman School when I took over the principalship in the fall of 1981. I had so much to learn and not much time to do it. Her patience, fund of knowledge and ability to see the really important issues are what got me through my introduction to Linderman School. The next year we were in the old Lincoln Building which was a very difficult logistical year. Eva’s patience and persistence got us all through that and the move the year after to the newly remodeled Linderman.

She knitted me a watch cap for Christmas one year. I still have it, still wear it when it’s cold. I will treasure it as a memorial to a fine and generaous person.
