Laura Mueller Adsit

Laura Mueller Adsit, of Polson, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at the home of Dan and Linda Roberts, surrounded by her family in Polson.
Laura was born December 3, 1922 in Parker, Idaho, a daughter of Carry Clifford Main and Lilly Jones Main. She graduated from Harlem High School with the class of 1942.
She married Oswald Mueller on September 23, 1942 in Chinook, Montana. They were married for 46 years. They lived in Chinook, Montana then moved to Fort Benton in 1950, they then moved to Ronan in 1961. Laura and Oswald raised three sons and one daughter and owned a ranch in North Crow for nearly 30 years. She spent many hours cooking for hay and branding crews. She also made excellent cinnamon rolls and pies and always had a coffee pot on for everyone. She later married Robert Adsit on May 19, 1990. Laura moved to Polson in 1991. She had lived with Dan and Linda Roberts since 2005.
Laura always loved children; she did babysitting and had foster children. She also worked many years for Sterling’s. She was a member of the Good Sam Club and always enjoyed their gatherings. She was also a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ronan and the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Polson.
Laura was preceded in death by her husbands, Oswald Mueller and Robert “Bob” Adsit; her brothers, Kenneth Main, John Main, Elmer Main, Clifford Main, and Clarence Main; sisters, Cecil Shelton Rosenbaum, Gladys Main Owens, and Beulah Main; and one son, Larry Mueller.
She is survived by her sons, Fred (Bonnie) Mueller, Lornie (Rose) Mueller; daughter Linda (Dan) Roberts and her sisters, Claudia Marshall, Pearl Jackson, and Edith Phillips. Eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren also survive Laura.
The family wishes to thank all the people with hospice care, for they are angels among us.
Funeral services are planned for Monday, June 29, 2009 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ronan, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Ronan Cemetery and a reception will follow the services at the church. Memorials may be made to either the Senior Citizens Center, 528 Main St., Ronan, MT 59864, hospice care at Lake County Home Options, 711 Main St., Ronan, MT 59864, or to a charity of one’s choice.

I am sorry to hear of Aunt Laura’s passing. I didn’t know her well, but I did have the priviledge of spending a year in Polson near the family. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was touched by her life.
