Alice Mylenda Dresen, age 87 of Pablo, passed away from natural causes on Sunday June 1, 2008 at the Mountain View Care Center in Ronan. Alice was born on February 4, 1921 to John and Mattie Ross at Moiese, MT. Alice graduated from Polson High School. Alice married Dick Dresen on July 3, 1948 in Missoula. Alice worked at the Western Montana Clinic in Missoula, she was the Clerk of the Polson School District, and she worked for the Ronan Telephone Company. Alice and Dick retired in the spring of 1988 and moved to Red Bluff, CA. They returned to the Mission Valley this past January. Alice was “the greatest mother in the world.” Alice is preceded in death by Carl Meiers, recently her husband of 60 years Dick Dresen, and her sister Virginia Hall. Surviving Alice includes her five children Kent Dresen and his wife Phyllis of Polson, Cheri Houle of Pablo, Shane Dresen and his wife Kathy of Post Falls, ID, Rock Dresen and his wife Shelly of Kalispell, and Patty Huffman and her husband Bill of Aromas, CA; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a family memorial service will be held for Dick & Alice on July 19, 2008.
