Oliver Miller Bones age 83 of Ronan formerly of Polson passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at his home in Ronan from natural causes.  He was born on July 21, 1923 at Shamrock, Texas to Walter and Lana Smith Bones.  He lived in Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma.

    He married Opal Leona Means and farmed in Oklahoma until 1965, before moving to the Mission Valley farming and ranching in St. Ignatius.  They moved to Polson in 1968 and owned Price’s Restaurant for 13 years.  Oliver worked at the Lake County Court House until he retired.  He loved working with horses and going to rodeos.

   He was preceded in death by his parents , step-mother Georgia, his wife Opal in December 2005, a sister Bernice Bones, brother Ray Bones.  His daughter Gwen Nelda Bones, Ronan; a son Stan and wife Janet Bones of Big Fork, Montana, 2 grandchildren Mac and Jodie, survive him. 

   No services are planned at this time and cremation has taken place.  Arrangements under the direction of Grogan Funeral Home and Cremation, Polson.
