Opal Leona Bones,79 of Ronan formerly of Polson
passed away on Tuesday December 27, 2005 at St. Luke Community
Hospital in Ronan from natural causes. She was born January 9, 1926
at Boise City, Oklahoma to Gould and Nellie Garrett Means. She grew
up and in Oklahoma and graduated from high school in Boise City,
Oklahoma. Opal married Oliver Bones in Boise City, Oklahoma and they
lived there until 1965, before moving to the Mission Valley and
eventually to Polson in 1968.
Opal and Oliver owned and operated the Prices
Café in Polson for 13 years. She loved gardening, yard work and
attending horse shows with her daughter Gwen Nelda.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and
is survived by her husband Oliver of Ronan, a son Stan and wife Janet
Bones of Bigfork and grandchildren Mac and Jodie, a daughter Gwen
Nelda of Ronan, 2 sisters Lela Varnum of Lake Havasu City, Arizona,
and Dorothy Rose of Colorado Springs, Colo. Memorials may be made in
Opals name to the Mission Valley Animal Shelter. No services are
planned at this time and cremation has taken place. Arrangements
under the direction of Grogan Funeral Home and Crematory, Polson. |
