Rennal “Slim” Bramsen, 82, of Pablo, MT. died at his home on January 2, 2006.

Rennal was born on May 4, 1923 in Missoula, MT. to Ingvard & Camilla Bramsen. He grew up and attended schools in Missoula.

Rennal joined the U.S. marines after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. He served in the Pacific Theater for almost 4 years during WWII.

Slim lived in Oregon for several years and eventually moved to Montana where he worked in construction for several years. He eventually became a self employed carpenter and a “Jack of all trades”.
He is preceded in death by his son David Bramsen, sisters- Evelyn, Agnes & Ella, brothers- Ted, Robert, Arne & Harold, stepsons- William & Owen Hawkins & step-daughter- Julia Hawkins.

He is survived by his wife- Mary Pierre Bramsen & his children: Pam Spearsl of Salem, OR, Wayne (Harriet) Bramsen of Tangent, OR, Linda (Jack) Kammerer of Frenchtown, MT., Teri (Martin) Lavell of Riverside,CA, Geri (Dave) Pierpoint of Medford, OR, Beryl (Melody) Bramsen of Central Point, OR & Sheryl (Dan) Clark of Indio, CA.
Step-children- Gwen (Kurt) Bautch of Pasco, WA, Betty Umphrey of Arlee,MT, Cindy Umphrey of Pablo,MT, Billie Jo (Don) Staggs of Polson,MT & Calvin Hawkins of St. Ignatius, MT.
He is also survived by a brother Ray (Virginia) Bramsen of Eugene, OR and several grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren.

A gathering of friends and relatives will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7th at the family home in Pablo located at the corner of 2nd & Division. A military honor guard will present military honors at 3:00 p.m. at the family home in Pablo.
