Ruth Olive Cahoon, 78, of Anaconda, MT.  passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula.

            Ruth was born on January 13, 1928 in Polson, MT. to Alfred & Monica Whitehouse.

            Ruth was longtime employee at J. C. Penney in Anaconda. She was a member of the Elks Lodge and Saddle Club in Anaconda. Ruth loved ceramics, crafts, skiing, snowmobiling and was an accomplished bowler. She and her husband Bill were the favorites amongst her nieces and nephews.

            Her husband Bill who passed away on March 23, 1986 precedes her in death.

            She is survived by her brother- Duane (Mildred) Whitehouse of Libby, MT.

            Sisters- Vera Wetzel of Phoenix, Ariz., May Granlund of Spokane, WA, Marie (Bob) Mutchler of Polson, MT. and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.

            A memorial service will be held at the K T Riddle Funeral Home in Anaconda on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 10:00 a.m.  A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Grogan Funeral Home in Polson and a graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, Polson on Monday, January 15, 2007 at 10:30 a.m.
