Mary, I’m so sorry to hear this. I know you have been expecting this for a while, but that doesn’t always make it easier. We are still praying for you and hope you will get a;; the support uou need. Remember Psalms 116-15, “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.”
Sorry to her about Rod’s passing. I worked with Rod at the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department, Fresno, California. He was an excellent officer. One you would like to have on your side when the going got tough. He was well thought of and I am proud to have been his friend. Bob Miller
My heartfelt prayers are with all of Rodney’s family.
Sgt Rod was one of my first supervisors when I worked for the Sheriff’s Department in 1969 and his work ethic has stuck with me to this day.
With Sincere Sympathy,
Ross Kelly
Sergeant Arden was a man whose name often comes up wherever retirees gather. He was a man’s man, one of those leaders who always seemed to be the first one through the door and walking the point. Whenever he was around you knew someone had your back. I will never, ever forget this rare breed of a man. Seldom do we find Rod Arden’s in this day and age.
With sincere sympathy and respect to Sergeant Arden’s family,
John Swenning, Fowler, California
Rod was my first supervisor at the Sheriff’s Department. I had a lot of repect for him and learned a lot of valuable lessons from him. He was the kind of man you wanted to be with when situations got tough.
When Rod retired I was promoted to fill his Sgt’s position within the Department. Rod was a man I repected and will never forget.
I,for one, learned a lot from Rod Arden in the short time that I was under his supervision. It became very beneficial when I became a supervisor.I appreciate his “down to earth”way of exercising his authority.Direct, honest and fearless.

I had the honor of working for Rod when I was assigned to the jail. I remember him well and when working beside him one did not have to
worry about where he would be if trouble started. May God
bless him and his family.
